Senior SW Engineer
Quantum Art, a full stack quantum computing company, develops state of the art quantum computing systems based on trapped ions technology (both hardware and software).
As part of our mission, our team builds our quantum processing units (QPUs), develops novel quantum gates and circuits, and implements new algorithms capable of solving hard computational tasks, beyond current classical computational abilities.
We are looking for an excellent, skillful Software Engineer to join our Software group.
Job description
Develop state-of-the-art software to activate and control the company’s quantum computing systems. The main development technology is Python, on Windows / Linux environment.
The work involves architecture design, interaction with HW devices in lab, as well as working on algorithms that implement quantum computer circuits. The job may require design & interaction with external providers.
The required responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the Systems team to develop a control layer for the QPU’s HW devices.
- Work closely with the Theory & Algorithms team to develop compilers for our QPU.
Requirements and skills
- BSc / MSc in Computer Science, Software engineering or equivalent, from a leading institute
- Proven experience of 5 years in object-oriented programming
- Proven experience in architecture design and development of complex systems
- Experience with multi-processing/multi-threading development
- Proven experience of at least 2 years in Python
- Background in data analysis and signal processing – an advantage
- Development experience with Linux operating system - an advantage
- Team player, very good personal communication, presentation, and reporting skills
